Each national industry entity is obliged to submit an application to the National Business Register REGON: to get the identification number, to make changes in already existing description of entity features or to cross off its number in the register, accordingly to the current legal situation.
The application should be submitted to the Statistical Office or to its branch in the voivodship, where the entity has its head office.
To register a new entity or to change the already existing features one should fill in form RG-1; to cross the entity off the register fill in form RG-2. Entities are obliged to submit their applications within fourteen days from the moment of the circumstances justifying the entry, change or the removal from the register (article 42, paragraph 4, Act of Laws of 29 June 1995 on public statistics; Journal of Laws No 88, item 439 with later amendments).
