Price index of investment outlays

Price index of investment outlays reflexes changes in prices of investment outlays realized in the period in question in relation to their prices in a corresponding period of the previous year.

It is calculated on the basis of:

1) Producer’s price survey carried out by the CSO:

- construction and assembly works and building constructions - for buildings and structures,

- products and services in terms of machinery, technical equipment, tools and transport equipment (in accordance with/taking into account/ the types of groups of fixed assets)

2) Transaction prices indices of the imports of investment goods.

To calculate the index of investment outlays, price indices of investment outlays on individual types of fixed assets are used after excluding the value of interest on credits and investment loans for the period of realization of the investment. The indices aggregated into groups of fixed assets i.e. buildings and structures, machinery and technical equipment, tools and transport equipment, are then weighted by using weights resulting from the value of investment outlays for individual groups of fixed assets.
