The report was drawn up within pilot Project No. 12 “Improving the quality and availability of migration statistics”, carried out in the frames of the Transition Facility Multi-Beneficiary Programme 2004.

The report includes detailed description of Polish legal acts regulating issues concerning international migration and international protection, methodology of gathering statistical data on international migration, the scope of this data as well as its sources – especially including administrative sources.
