The average number of months of life expectancy of persons at a given age (totals for males and females together) calculated on the basis of the up-to-date life expectancy table by using the method of combined numbers of both sexes survivors.

The average number of months of life expectancy is the basis for granting retirement pay at the applications filled from 1 April to 31 March next calendar year as well as for establishing initial capital for the insured persons born after 31 December 1948 who, before the Act on pensions came into force, paid obligatory contributions for social insurance from the Social Insurance Fund or whose contributions for social insurance were made by payers.
