Assessment of the situation of industrial, construction, trade and service enterprises is based upon the subjective opinions of actual and forecasted business situation expressed by the directors of the surveyed companies. Results are presented in the form of monthly, quarterly and semi-annual data bases of indicators of the business cycles, supplemented with description of survey methodology.

Presented data are divided into two databases – one of the data calculated according to PKD 2004 (the time series ends in December 2008) and the other – according to PKD 2007. Data according to PKD 2007 were recalculated till 2000. In case of retail trade survey recalculation of time series was not necessary but since 2009 this survey covers additional kinds of activity.
