General government deficit and debt in 2011

On 30 March 2012, in accordance with the Council Regulation (EC) No 479/2009 of 25 May 2009 on the application of the Protocol on the excessive deficit procedure annexed to the Treaty establishing European Community, the President of the CSO provided general government deficit and debt data (EDP notification) to the European Commission (Eurostat).

According to EDP notification, in 2011 general government deficit was equal 77 959 mln zl (-5,1% GDP), while general government debt amounted to 858 931 mln zl (56,3% GDP).

Data for years 2009-2010 were verified in relation to previously  published due to implementation of European Commission (Eurostat) recommendations  concerning registration of revenues from privatization and the coverage of general government sector.
