The Statistical Office in Gdansk performs, within the framework of work conducted for public statistics as a whole, national tasks in the field of education. To serve this purpose, an Education Statistics Center was established at the SO in Gdańsk. The duties of the centre include:

Conducting surveys on educational processes in cooperation with bodies of educational administration and research and development institutions,

Surveys on local and regional demand for information concerning education statistics,
-
Preparing methodology of surveys indicated by the CSO as a national task and cooperation with Eurostat and resort design and programming centers,
-
Participation in defining terms and classifications referring to education.
