Central Statistical Archive is an archive institution of the Central Statistical Office with entrusted archive resources, i.e. it is authorised to store permanently possessed files.
Archive resources of Central Statistical Archive encompass all archive materials resultant from activities of Central Statistical Office and organisational units of official statistics. Archive resources of Central Statistical Archive, in part regarding materials stored eternally, constitute a part of National Archive Resources.
Central Statistical Archive stores:
- Archive material connected with functioning of statistical institutions in Polish territories until the year 1944 and with activities of organisational units subordinated to the President of CSO after 1945, which have terminated their activities,
- repertory of CSO and of units subordinated to the President of CSO own documentation produced after 1945.
Central Statistical Archive provides access to gathered archival resources on terms and in the mode of the Law on national archive resource and archives.
